Modern Prog Metallers IHLO formed in 2016, following a previous collaboration between Andy and Phil that originally focused on an electronic project. Things changed upon the release of Phil’s instrumental EP “Iris”, with both agreeing that its sound and production had opportunity for vocals. After over two years working on their first album, “Union” was released in May 2019 and received high praise from the Prog community with consistently great reviews and an electrifying buzz that still refuses to die down.

Influenced from all across the modern metal scene, IHLO's music brings together tight grooves and powerful riffs intertwined with soaring melodies that dig deep into a pool of emotion. Combine this with a wide range of electronic tones and detailed sound design, wrapped up in a hard-hitting production package, “Union” encapsulates a heavy explosion of catharsis.

The debut recently got a re-issue via Kscope, and with album No2 showing up on the horizon, they also might bring new music to Munich in May...
